While the town of Blowing Rock was graciously spared from the worst of the storm’s fury, many communities nearby have suffered devastating losses. Hanna’s- Since 1919, the oldest oriental rug shop in Blowing Rock. Complete selection of handmade antique & new oriental rugs of all types, sizes & colors. Fine European & oriental imports. Antique occasional furniture & porcelains, crystal, figurines, hand embroidered linens, fine estate & new jewelry. Direct importer, best prices. We buy old rugs, jewelry & art objects.

Hellbender Bed & Beverage- The Restaurant and Bar offer an array of food and drinks from classic comforts to new experiences. A great place to gather with outside dining available
Restaurant at Gideon Ridge- Enjoy an evening of fine dining. Intimate dining room with beautiful views of the mountains. Reservations are a must.
The Speckled Trout Restaurant and Bottle Shop- At our family owned restaurant we explore the roots of Appalachian food & beverage culture and celebrate it through our seasonal menus. 20 draft beers, prohibition-style cocktails and a convenient bottle shop for your packaged wine & beer needs keep guests coming back for more. Twigs- Fine dining in a cozy mountain atmosphere. Specializing in an array of dishes of the highest quality including crab cakes, filet mignon, duck breast & mountain trout. Bar area also serves dinner nightly & hosts bands every Fri. & Sat. Reservations suggested.
Storie Street Grille- A truly enjoyable meal is the sum of its parts: seasonal, sustainable and locally harvested ingredients prepared with distinctive, regionally crafted flavors and served in a warm, welcoming environment. Serving lunch 11-3 and dinner 5-9, Mon-Sat.
